Module Description

This course will discuss the views of the following philosophers and thinkers on being a good citizen: Aristotle, Rufonius, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Bertrand Russell, Martin Luther King, Elizabeth Anscombe, Mary Midgley and Paolo Freire. No prior knowledge of these thinkers is expected and those present in the class are encouraged to discuss their views as part of the learning process.

Patrick Quinn, PhD, has taught in third-level and adult education for more than 30 years with extensive publications in philosophy and education and a series of programmes on RTÉ radio and television.
