We are delighted to announce that Sheila Keegan Groome has been appointed as the new Director of Lumen Dominican Centre. She officially assumes the role in mid-November 2024. As Director, she will be responsible for implementing the Centre’s vision and overseeing its general operation and development.
A native of Dublin, Sheila earned her B.A. (Mod) in Religion from Trinity College Dublin and has just completed the M.Phil. programme in Contextual Theology and Interfaith Relations at the Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin. Sheila is undertaking a Ph.D. in pastoral and ecumenical theology through the pioneering development of ‘ecumenics’ as a field of study by Fr. Michael Hurley, S.J.
Beyond the Lumen Dominican community, Sheila is active in her local church community and interested in ecumenical dialogue and social justice. She is also President of the Newman Society of Ireland.
The Lumen Team and Board of Management warmly welcome Sheila to her new role.
